Without a screen
The problem was never the sound. Sound is everywhere and mostly free. It was the thing the sound comes out of — the one object engineered to interrupt you, sitting beside you while you try to switch off.
You do not have to resist the phone. You just stop needing it in the room.
Select manual mode for one tone or automatic mode for the full sequence.
Use the top surface to select and begin a tone in manual mode.
Choose 15, 30, 45 or 60 minutes, then adjust the volume to suit your space.
Quick start · power, mode, tone, timer and volume
The compact bowl and its storage pouch fit in a handbag or a carry-on.
Set 15, 30, 45 or 60 minutes and put the clock away. The bowl ends the session for you.
Ninety minutes on the cable gives up to eight hours of play.

Created by AEVUM specifically for The Resonance Bowl, the digital 7 Chakra Meditations e-book turns a tone you simply hear into a ritual you can repeat.
The eight tones
The eight ascend in pitch, from the lowest and slowest to the brightest. Play one by touch, or let the bowl move through all of them.
The lowest of the eight. A deep, slow tone with a long tail — the one most people open and close a session with.
A step up from Root. Still low and rounded, with a noticeable swell before it settles.
Mid-low and steady. Less rumble than the first two, more of a sustained hum.
The middle of the range. Warm and even, and the one most people leave running in the background.
Brighter, with a defined edge where the lower tones blur together.
High and thin, with more shimmer and a faster fade.
The highest sustained tone. Closer to a bell than to a bowl.
The eighth mode, placed last in the automatic sequence as a closing point.
The 7 Chakra Meditations e-book included with every bowl goes further: what each tone is traditionally used for, its frequency, and how to build a practice around it.
The eight names come from contemporary chakra-informed sound practice. They describe tuning conventions.
Tradition and evidence
Two short notes: where the practice comes from, and what the research does and does not show.
Tradition
Singing bowls, bells and gongs have supported ritual and contemplative practice across Asian cultures for centuries. The tuning names on this bowl come from the way contemporary sound practice inherited that tradition.
Science
Small studies of structured sound sessions have reported improvements in self-reported tension, mood and relaxation. The research is early, and the sessions studied were not this device. Both papers are linked below so you can read them yourself.
The Resonance Bowl is a wellness product, not a medical device.
Questions
What is included, how it compares, and what happens after you order.
The Resonance Bowl, its storage pouch and the digital AEVUM 7 Chakra Meditations e-book.
You can, and for background listening it works well. The difference is that the bowl is a single sound source in the room, it runs on a timer and stops by itself, and it does not put a phone in front of you at the moment you were trying to put one down.
A traditional bowl needs a mallet, a technique and a hand to keep it going. This one plays for 15 to 60 minutes on its own after one touch. If you want the craft object, buy the traditional bowl. If you want the sound without the technique, this is the trade.
No. Touch the surface to choose a tone, or select automatic mode to hear all eight in sequence. There is no mallet and no striking technique to learn.
Yes. The volume is adjustable, and a wired headphone input keeps the session to yourself.
Ninety minutes of charging gives up to eight hours of play.

Both, and we keep them apart. The eight names come from contemporary chakra-informed sound practice. The two studies we link examine structured sound sessions in general; neither studied this device.
